Results of audience research- Graphs & Charts
The bar chart above shows the results which I got when I asked the question 'How old are you?' from my questionnaire to a total of 10 people. Out of the 10 people I asked, half (5) seemed to be aged 12-20 and so were of a younger age. With ages 21-30, 41-50, & 51-60 there was 1 person only for each age group who were of an age within this range. There was no one aged between 31-40 and 2 people out of the 10 asked were older than the age ranges I provided on the questionnaire.
The pie chart above shows the results which I got when I aksed the question 'What is your gender?'. After asking a total of 10 people my created questionnaire, it turned out that 6 were male and 4 were female.
The bar chart above shows the results I got when I asked the question 'Are you interested in horror movies?'. It seemed that out of the 10 people I asked 4 males said they like horror movies with 2 males saying they didn't. It also shew that 3 females liked horror movies where there was only 1 female who didn't.

Plan of my poster
Shown above is a plan for my poster for our film- Torment. Again it was very important that I had a plan of how I wanted my creation to be. I sketched about the main photograph on the poster which was a close up image of one of the characters from our film- Oscar. At the top of the poster above of the main image I placed the title reading -TORMENT and underneath this I included some kind of tagline reading 'will you escape' which gives the viewer a slight insight to the film's story. Above the main title on the poster I placed text with information about the directors of the film which is another high attraction to viewers. Moving on further above of this I included the names of the characters in the movie. This is of high importance on a film poster. Towards the bottom of the poster I included the credits about the creation of the film. Underneath this in much more of a smaller print I decided to include the logos of production companies, the movies website, and also text reading 'COMING SOON' to tease spectators about the release of the movie. Something else which I included on the poster was the classification which was a '15'. This is also very important.
Plan of my magazine front cover
Shown above is a plan which I drew for my magazine cover. Of course I created my final magazine cover digitally in Photoshop but it was very important that I created a plan first so I had an idea of how I wanted my creation to be.
As shown I added the masthead which reads: Total Film- which is of course is the make of the magazine. I then included a sketch of the main photograph which was the main girl from our movie- Layna. Either side of the main photograph I wrote in the individual coverlines which would be present on the magazine. I also shew the what the main coverline would read which is of course- TORMENT' and placed this at the bottom of the magazine. Underneath the main coverline I decided to place in some more text telling viewers what other content is present inside of the magazine. On my plan of my magazine front cover I also worked out where the barcode would be placed which is in the middle on the right hand side of the magazine. I also would place another attraction by showing that readers could win £50,000 in a competition. Above the masthead I also included further text about that particular magazine and that it is a horror special. I originally had an idea in my head of the colour scheme I wanted on my magazine as I knew what kind of audience I wanted to attract. I then applied these colours on my creation throughout.

Hammer Horror
This slideshow presentation on- Hammer Horror is the one out of all powerpoints shown that I and another class member created. Myself and Josh created the presentation on the style of horror. We conducted a wide range of research from a variety of different sources about Hammer Horror before creation which would be very helpful for our powerpoint.

Torment Prop
Shown above is a scanned image of our plaque which we made for our trailer. This was and is a very important prop for the trailer. It was a plaque created in memory of a boy who went missing after going ghost hunting in the trailer. We placed the prop in a forest in the trailer which is where the boy went missing in the movie.
Mood board for 'TORMENT'
Shown above is my moodboard for our created horror trailer on our film - Torment. The moodboard is made up of a variety of images which I chose as they fit in with the genre and style of our film. I have placed an image from a Paranormal Activity film as our film is based also around paranormal spirits so I thought that this would link in extremely well. A good example in the trailer is when lewis gets the phone whipped out of his hand when answering it and placing it to his ear. I have also placed in an image of a hand held video camera as the whole of our horror trailer for 'Torment' was filmed with a handheld camera and not placed on a tripod at any point throughout creation. The third image which I decided to add on the moodboard is a famous image from the film- The blair Witch Project. This is another film which is of a similar genre and style to our own so I also thought that this would be acceptable. That particular image is also very similar to a shot in our own trailer which is at the very end, so this is another similarity. I have included images of an abandoned house as we are seen to be visiting one inside of the trailer/movie and also a forest as this is where we find a plaque in memory of a boy killed from ghost hunting- which is what we as a group set out to do. At the end of the trailer a character also runs through a forest where they are killed and the camera is dropped to the floor. Lastly, the image which I finally added was of a ghost because as explained as a group we set out to go ghost hunting and when in the house in the trailer there were paranormal spirits present.

Synopsis for our original horror trailer- Torment.
After
a lot of decision making, coming up with various ideas we finally made a final
decision on the idea for our horror trailer. It is about a group of 4 young
teenagers currently studying at college- 3 boys and a girl. The three boys are
one day walking through a forest near
their college when one stops and suddenly notices a plaque on a tree which is
in rembrance of a previous college student. The other two then stop and then
ask whether he knows about that or not where he doesn't but they both do. The
plaque is in memory of the student as he was killed when going ghost hunting.
Before even seeing the plaque and finding out about the student as a group they
all had the idea to originally go ghost hunting and this incident hasn't
stopped their idea. They all go back to one of the boys house and look into
ghost hunting in more depth eventually finding a location where they can go and
do this which was an abandoned house. They all go there one cold night
investigating. They go off and the group are shown joking around in the car and
then the headlights are shown of the car pulling up at the house. The group are
then shown in the house looking around investigating where the girl then goes
missing. One of the boys is about to try and contact her via his mobile. It
shows him lifting the phone to his ear when all of a sudden it is whipped from
his hand anonymously. The group are then shown panicking and shouting where
there is jaggered movement of the camera. The other two boys have now gone
missing also. It then shows the only boy left who is holding the camera (from
the cameras pov) running through a forest getting away from the house as they
all felt suspicion whilst there. Suddenly he and the camera drop to the floor
where he sounds lifeless. The camera lays still and the missing girl appears
with a short, intimidating laugh. She had killed him. The trailer then ends. We
decided to go with this idea for our trailer as we thought that it was slightly
unique as well as different and that it would stand out.
Original Questionnaire
Shown above is a copy of my original questionnaire which I created as research for our created horror film trailer for - Torment. I created a total of 12 questions for the Questionnaire based around the genre of horror. I asked quiestions based around what audience members would expect from horror films also. This allowed me to gain an in depth understanding of what different members of the audience are interestred in and what they would prefer to see in horror movies so that I could place some of this content into our created horror movie trailer. This is why the questions on my questionnaire are very important. Overall I would say that the questionnaire on a whole is an extremley important piece of research as it allows me too identify audience members needs and interests which then allows me to tailer our own movie tailer to these. I got a total of 10 people to answer my questionnaire where I also used the form of email to send 2 of the questionnaires too 2 people out of the 10.

Results Of Group Research- Audience Research
Each member of our group carried out individual audience research. We then put this together and combined the results to see what we found out as a group producing group research. Firstly I will explain what we found out about the target audience for our horror movie trailer. It was shown that there were split results with who like and don't like horror films on a whole with around 50% finding them interesting and wanting to watch where the other 50% dislike them and don't watch. We also found out from our research that the majority of people we asked tend to like horror movies but they don't actually watch them very often at all. Something else which we discovered was that most people tend to watch films at home instead of going to the cinema paying to watch them. This is now because of the improvement within technology with services like netflix and sky movies now being provided and available. When carrying out my questionairres I asked various people of different age ranges. This ranged from the age of 13 all the way up to mid 60's. When putting these results together with the rest gained from the other members of my group it provided the same outcome where they had also asked a range of individuals with high and low age ranges. It provided us with reliable and accurate results which of course is very helpful. We also researched into Demographic as well as Pschographic audiences. The Demographic audience tends to consist of male and female individuals from the age 15+ who are from a social class background mainly, as well as middle class background also. The Psychographic audience tends to consist of working class teens/students who are also classed as the primary audience. Young adults who tend to be horror fans aging in their early twenties would be classed usually as the secondary audience. After collecting our results from asking a range of people all at different ages we decided to aim our horror trailer at a more demographic audience of male and females from the age of 15+. This is accpetable as after finding out what they would also like to see in horror films we will be allowed to add more bloody, and gory aspects in the trailer which are sutibale for this type of age range. In relation to the trailer we are creating we researched into films that are very comparable and relatable to our own. These are Chernobyl Diaries and The Blair Witch Project. They both relate to our own as they are paranormal films. The Blair Witch Project links via the fact that it is filmed with a handheld camera also. Within the films, groups of people set out on an ivestigation looking into subjects like paranormal activity. These groups of people are of the same age group as us and we will also set out to investigate a subject within our film trailer so this links with our own creation very well also.
